VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESS Newswire / July 16, 2026 / Make Space Storage is proud to announce the completion and opening of its newest self-storage facility in St. Thomas, Ontario, located at 420 South Edgeware Road. The new facility is now serving residents and businesses throughout St. Thomas and the surrounding communities with modern, secure, and convenient storage solutions.

Construction on the project began in August 2025 and represents a $12 million investment in the region. The completed facility features 15 buildings, more than 60,600 square feet of rentable storage space, 393 storage units, and 55 outdoor RV parking spaces. Customers can choose from a range of heated drive-up storage units in multiple sizes, along with secure outdoor parking for RVs, boats, and vehicles. The development represents a significant investment in the region and further strengthens Make Space Storage's growing presence across Ontario.

Proudly developed and constructed by Make Space Storage, the project has been supported by the consulting team that includes Zelinka Priamo Ltd., LRL Engineering, Absolute Drafting & Design Inc., Ron Koudys Landscape Architects Inc., and Trachte Building Systems. Together, the team helped deliver a modern storage facility designed to serve the growing needs of the St. Thomas community.

From its beginnings in Pender Harbour, BC, Make Space Storage has grown into one of Canada's leading storage providers, with locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec.

"This development reflects our confidence in the St. Thomas market and our commitment to expanding our presence across Ontario," said Danny Freedman, CEO & Founder of Make Space Storage. "We continue to invest in communities where we see long-term opportunity and look forward to serving the residents and businesses that call St. Thomas home."

The facility is one of several recent investments made by Make Space Storage as the company continues to grow its portfolio and expand access to modern storage solutions across Canada.

"What stands out to me about this project is the team behind it," said Don Herzog, Executive Advisor at Make Space Storage. "Bringing a development of this scale to life requires collaboration, expertise, and commitment from many people. I'm proud of what the team has accomplished and excited to see the positive impact this facility will have in the St. Thomas community."

Units are now available to rent, and customers can take advantage of convenient online reservations and move-ins, allowing them to secure and manage their storage unit from the comfort of home. Security features include gated access, perimeter fencing, and 24/7 video surveillance to help provide peace of mind.

To celebrate the opening, Make Space Storage will host a Community Grand Opening Celebration in September. Designed as a fun and welcoming event for the entire community, the celebration will feature activities, giveaways, and the opportunity to tour the new facility and meet the Make Space Storage team. Additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.
