BERLIN, GERMANY / ACCESS Newswire / September 3, 2026 / AREX, a new generation of underwater technology, will officially unveil its AI-powered augmented reality dive mask at IFA Berlin on 3 September 2026.
Designed to change the way divers interact with critical information underwater, AREX integrates a full dive computer directly into an augmented reality diving mask.
Instead of repeatedly looking down at a wrist computer, divers can see essential information such as depth, no-decompression limits and dive status directly within their natural field of view.
The result is designed to keep divers focused on their surroundings, aware of their dive data, while reducing the interruptions associated with traditional wrist-mounted computers.
AREX is built for a wide range of diving, from recreational and low-visibility environments to technical, cave and expedition diving. The system supports Air, Nitrox, Trimix and CCR configurations, with a ZHL-16C decompression algorithm and Gradient Factors. The mask is designed with an intuitive mechanical control system that can be operated without removing the diver's attention from the environment.
Beyond its core dive-computer functions, AREX introduces an expandable underwater technology ecosystem. Optional modules include real-time tank pressure monitoring through the TX Pressure Pod, the Sync Dive Torch, which follows the diver's field of view, and an AI Marine ID Scanner capable of using onboard vision technology to identify marine life in real time.
The project represents a broader vision for underwater technology: bringing useful digital information into the environment without asking divers to constantly interrupt their awareness to access it.
