BLOCS Names Bridget Chomko as Development Manager to Accelerate EITC Growth in Scranton Region

BLOCS, the leading Scholarship Organization dedicated to the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC), and the sole administrator of the Economic Disadvantaged Schools (EDS) programs, today announced Bridget Chomko has joined the organization as Development Manager for the Scranton region including more than 60 schools in the area.

“Bridget’s deep roots in the Scranton area and her lifelong commitment to education and youth will bring an extraordinary value to BLOCS as we broaden our reach across the Commonwealth,” said Rob Delany, CEO of BLOCS. “We are thrilled to welcome her into the BLOCS family.”

Chomko is a fundraising and community development professional with more than a decade of experience leading donor engagement, scholarship initiatives, and strategic campaigns across Northeast Pennsylvania.

Prior to this, she spent more than 13 years in development roles at The University of Scranton, most recently serving as Director of Annual Giving. In this capacity, she spearheaded the university’s flagship one-day digital fundraising event, driving new donor acquisition and re-engaging past supporters, resulting in $4.6 million in support.

Chomko holds a bachelor’s in Communications from Wilkes University and master’s in International Business from The University of Scranton.

Chomko resides in Scranton, Pa., with her family and is actively involved in a variety of community impact programs supporting veterans and students.
