-- The 2025 China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival Press Conference was held in Beijing on Sept 26.
It was announced that the festival will take place in Xiamen, Fujian province from Nov 11 to 15.
During the festival, a series of events will be held, including opening and award ceremonies, film screenings such as the Golden Rooster Film Screening along with public welfare activities, creative support programs such as the Golden Rooster Film Project Market, professional forums and academic events including the Golden Rooster Film Forum, and industry exchange activities such as the Golden Rooster Film Market.
These initiatives aim to deeply explore the cultural essence and innovative elements of cinema, promote the transformation of film production and distribution methods, and achieve mutual empowerment between the film industry and Xiamen's economic and social development.
This year, the opening ceremony will be held at the Banlam Grand Theater, while the awards ceremony and closing ceremony will take place at the Strait Grand Theater.
Most notably, the Golden Rooster Awards Nominees Honor Ceremony will be held for the first time at the Xiamen International Expo Center.
At the conference, the main visual poster for the 38th China Golden Rooster Awards and the poster for the 2025 China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival were unveiled.
The creative concept of the main visual poster is deeply rooted in the spiritual essence of the Golden Rooster Awards — "The golden rooster heralds the dawn, singing out the bright future of Chinese cinema" — paying tribute to every filmmaker who has dedicated their light and spirit to Chinese films.
It was officially announced at the press conference that Chen Feiyu and Song Qian will serve as the "Golden Rooster Xiamen Ambassadors".
The press conference also featured a partner signing ceremony. Companies including Xiamen ITG Holding Group, Moutai 1935, and Seres Group's AITO signed agreements with Xiamen Film Festival Co Ltd to jointly support the smooth operation of this year's film festival.
