-- Kloud9 is pleased to announce that one of its clients has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 with a perfect score on the organization’s first assessment, placing the client among the first 1,000 companies in the United States to reach this milestone.
CMMC Level 2 is designed for organizations that handle sensitive government information and must demonstrate implementation of the 110 security requirements aligned to NIST SP 800-171. Kloud9 supported the client through end-to-end readiness efforts, including secure architecture planning, cloud integrations, evidence development, and validation of technical and administrative controls.
The engagement included nearly 400 hours of joint work focused on assessment preparedness and execution. Activities included aligning security policies and procedures with operational realities, mapping control objectives to system configurations, strengthening access control and monitoring practices, and ensuring documentation supported both implementation and sustainment. Kloud9 also assisted with test planning to help confirm that control outcomes were repeatable and defensible under independent review.
In addition, Kloud9 noted that it has also achieved CMMC Level 2 certification, reflecting third-party validation of its own cybersecurity program. Kloud9 stated that CMMC Level 2–certified MSPs remain uncommon nationwide, and the company is part of a small group that have earned the designation.
