BOSGAME has previewed its next-generation flagship Mini PC, the BOSGAME M5 MAX.

-- BOSGAME has previewed its next-generation flagship Mini PC, the BOSGAME M5 MAX, expected to launch between late September and mid-October 2026.

The new PC signals a push towards higher-memory, high-performance AI computing in a compact desktop form factor.

Built around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor, the M5 MAX is designed to sit above BOSGAME’s existing M5 platform as a high-performance AI Mini Workstation aimed at AI developers, content creators, software developers, and other professional users who require more computing and memory capacity than a conventional Mini PC can provide.

The first configuration is planned to combine 128GB of LPDDR5X unified memory with a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, giving the compact system the capacity needed for demanding local AI experimentation, large-model workflows, creative applications, software development, and professional multitasking.

The AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 provides 16 CPU cores and 32 threads, with boost speeds of up to 5.2GHz. It also integrates Radeon 8065S graphics and an NPU capable of up to 55 TOPS, with overall AI performance of up to 131 TOPS.

For BOSGAME, however, the significance of the M5 MAX extends beyond processor specifications.

James Cao, General Manager at BOSGAME, said, “With the M5 MAX, we wanted to go beyond simply making a faster Mini PC. We wanted to rethink how much computing capability could be brought into a compact system. The 128GB configuration is just the beginning.”

High memory capacity is becoming increasingly important as AI workloads move from cloud services towards local systems. Larger models and more demanding applications can require substantial memory, making capacity a key consideration alongside processor performance. The M5 MAX has been designed to meet this need.

The M5 MAX is also designed to function as a flexible desktop workstation rather than a closed compact computer. Connectivity includes OCuLink PCIe 4.0 x4, dual USB4, dual 10GbE, Wi-Fi 7, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and SD 4.0, providing options for high-speed peripherals, networking, external displays, and expansion.

BOSGAME is also planning to take the platform further. A 192GB memory and 2TB storage configuration is planned for early 2027, increasing the memory ceiling for users working with increasingly demanding AI and professional workloads.

The M5 MAX is expected to become available between late September and mid-October 2026. The initial 128GB + 2TB configuration is expected to be priced between US$3,600 and US$3,800.
