Tennessee Flight Training announced it has been recognized as a Distinguished Flight School in the national 2026 Flight Training Experience Awards, given by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).

Tennessee Flight Training, one of the state’s longest-serving flight training providers, has announced the opening of a new location in Millington, marking the company’s expansion into the Memphis-area market.

Tennessee Flight Training has been recognized for its high standard of accomplishment in flight training by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the world’s largest aviation association. It has been awarded a spot on the Flight Training Experience Awards as a Distinguished Flight School, a title given to high scoring flight training providers from the 2025 Flight Training Experience Review.

In celebration of national “Learn to Fly” month in May, Tennessee Flight Training is hosting a series of open house events at all five of its locations across the state. Aspiring pilots will have the opportunity to take a tour, meet experienced pilots and instructors, and learn the steps to achieving a rewarding career in aviation.

Tennessee Flight Training has announced the purchase of the flight training division of Azure Flight Support, which includes Shelbyville Flight Academy as well as flight training locations in Crossville and Cleveland, TN. The acquisition also enables a long-term strategic partnership for Fixed Base Operator (FBO) services and maintenance.

A new pilot training facility is now open at Maury County Regional Airport. Tennessee Flight Training began operations this month and will host a grand opening and open house to welcome the community and provide information on how to launch a career as a pilot.
